This Privacy Policy explains how Dream Noise (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Dream Noise mobile application and related services (the “Service”). Dream Noise provides calming sleep sounds and AI-narrated bedtime stories.

You can use much of the Service as a guest without an account. Creating an account or starting a subscription involves additional information as described below.

Information We Collect

Account information.When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, where you permit it, your name and email address. If you use Sign in with Apple’s private email relay, we receive only the relay address.
Subscription and purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through our payments partner (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription and entitlement status (for example, whether a trial or paid plan is active). We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
Usage and analytics data. We collect events about how you interact with the Service (for example, content played, listening sessions and their duration, content completed, paywall and screen views, sign-in, and subscription events). These events are collected and processed on our own backend infrastructure (first-party); we do not send them to any third-party analytics or advertising service. They are keyed to your account or an anonymous identifier.
Device and technical information. Such as device type, operating system, and app version, used for reliability and analytics.
Approximate location. We receive your IP address and may use it to infer approximate location (such as country or region); we also collect your device locale and time zone. We do not collect precise (for example, GPS) location.
Communications. If you contact support, we keep your messages and contact details to respond.

How We Use Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including playback and personalized rails such as “Listen Again.”
To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
To manage subscriptions, trials, and entitlements.
To understand usage and improve features and content (analytics).
To communicate with you about the Service, including support and important notices.
To protect the Service, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

Service providers that operate the Service on our behalf, including cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), subscription management (RevenueCat), and the Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases. We do not share your information with third-party analytics or advertising services.
Legal and safety purposes, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
Business transfers, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information except where we must retain it by law.

Your Choices and Rights

Account deletion.You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account).
Access and correction. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and secure storage of session credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
